Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Discrete Software LLC collects, uses, and shares information when you use the MassMetrics mobile app and related services.

Overview

MassMetrics is operated by Discrete Software LLC. This policy applies when you use the MassMetrics mobile app, visit our website, contact support, or otherwise use related services.

If you do not agree with this policy, do not use MassMetrics or provide personal information to us.

Information We Collect

MassMetrics may collect account and contact information, such as your name, email address, login details, support messages, and subscription status.

The app also processes fitness and wellness information that you choose to provide, including workout logs, exercises, sets, reps, weights, macros and nutrition entries, bodyweight records, goals, notes, and related progress data.

If you choose to connect Apple Health, MassMetrics may access health and fitness data types you authorize so the app can display, track, and sync your activity and progress. You can manage Apple Health permissions in your device settings.

Account Access

You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address, Apple account, or other login method associated with your MassMetrics account.

For security reasons, we may not be able to restore access, change an account email, or transfer account data unless we can reasonably verify that you control the account.

App, Device, and Website Data

We may collect app diagnostics, crash reports, device information, usage events, and similar technical data to operate, secure, debug, and improve MassMetrics. We configure analytics and diagnostics tools to avoid intentionally sending workout logs, nutrition entries, Apple Health data, or other sensitive fitness information.

Our website may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate site usage and improve the landing page. These analytics are separate from the fitness information you enter in the app.

Error and Performance Monitoring

We use Sentry, a third-party monitoring service, to detect crashes and errors, diagnose technical problems, and measure and improve the performance and reliability of MassMetrics.

Sentry may process technical information associated with an error or performance event, such as device and operating system details, app version, timestamps, network and performance data, error messages and stack traces, and actions taken in the app shortly before an issue occurred. This information may also include an IP address and an account or user identifier when available.

We configure Sentry to avoid intentionally sending workout logs, nutrition entries, Apple Health data, or other sensitive fitness information. Sentry processes monitoring data on our behalf according to its privacy and data-processing terms.

Apple Health

Some MassMetrics features allow you to submit a food image for AI-powered nutrition analysis. When you choose to use this feature, the image and instructions necessary to analyze it are transmitted to Discrete Software LLC's servers and then to our third-party artificial intelligence service provider for processing.

mages submitted for AI analysis are used only to generate the requested nutrition estimate and are not intentionally stored by MassMetrics after the request is completed. Our AI service providers process submitted data according to their own privacy and data-retention terms.

MassMetrics does not use images submitted to this feature for advertising or marketing.

AI-Powered Features

Some MassMetrics features may allow you to submit images or other data for analysis by third-party artificial intelligence service providers. This is a user-initiated action: the data is sent only when you choose to use an AI-powered feature and submit the request.

The third-party provider may receive and process the image, data, and related instructions needed to generate a response. You should not submit information that you do not have the right to share or sensitive information that is not needed for your request.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide the app, save and display your logs, sync authorized health and fitness data, manage accounts and subscriptions, respond to support requests, troubleshoot problems, improve features, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate MassMetrics, such as hosting, analytics, customer support, security, and subscription infrastructure providers. These providers are allowed to use information only to provide services to us.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or Discrete Software LLC, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Support Communications

If you contact us for support, you may provide personal information, account details, screenshots, diagnostic information, or other context needed to resolve your request.

We may retain support communications to respond to you, improve customer service, investigate issues, and maintain accurate business records.

Processing Location

Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.

Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide MassMetrics, maintain your account, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it is stored.

If you delete your account or ask us to delete your information, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account unless we need to keep it for legal, security, fraud-prevention, billing, backup, or legitimate business record purposes.

Your Choices

You can update or delete information in the app where those controls are available. You can change Apple Health permissions in your device settings. You can manage or cancel paid subscriptions through your Apple account settings.

You may contact us at support@discretesoftware.com to request help accessing, correcting, deleting, or exporting personal information associated with your account. If export or account deletion tools are available in the app, you can also use those tools directly. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

MassMetrics is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Parents and guardians should monitor children's use of apps and online services and should not allow children under 13 to submit personal information through MassMetrics.

US Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise privacy rights, contact Discrete Software LLC at support@discretesoftware.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you through the app, the website, or another appropriate channel.
